When Jennifer and Derek said their wedding and reception would be at the Orlando Science Center I was intrigued to hear their vision. They then shared they are both Star Wars fans and are going to weave it into the celebration.
What they did was AWESOME. Jennifer wanted a simple single Calla Lilly and greenery for her bridesmaids. Her bouquet color pallet - deep oranges, toffee, and creams. The ceremony was to be in the Planet Room and Reception in the Dino Room. She wanted texture and greenery on the tables to compliment the custom lanterns.
Make sure to check out the lightsaber handles for the boutonnieres and the bridesmaid bouquets.
Theme weddings can be a little tricky. Creating the right balance so that your theme elements are woven into an adult motif and not come across as a child's birthday party.
Jennifer & Derek NAILED IT! The Star Wars elements were amazing and elegant to create the perfect classy blend. They even had some visitors during cocktail hour to surprise their guests. Take a look!

I chose florals that would reflect the unique textures and different foliage Star Wars planets like Endor or Sorgan would have. The Pincushion mixed with calla lilies, ranunculus and roses - Toffee, Pink Champagne, and Matilda created a romantic Star Wars vibe.
The boutonniere lightsaber handles are mounted on a magnetic back to keep them secure and upright with the weight.
The Ceremony space was in the Planet Room. Perfect for the theme. The florals at the Ceremony were the back of the aisle to soften the space. Those two arrangements were re-purposed to be used at the head table.
The Back of Aisle florals were moved to the Sweetheart table to add to the front ground of the table. The couple also wanted to incorporate their light sabers onto the table.
This was such a fun creative venture. I hope you can take some of these floral ideas and weave them into your event.
